Nigel Bee

I am a keen gardener and am actively involved in the Transition Belsize Fruitery project. I have attached the recent Ham & High article about this.

I have also enjoyed helping out at Chiswick House kitchen garden ( http://www.kitchengarden.org.uk/ ), where the gardening is carried out by volunteers. I built a pergola there which now as vines growing around it. This group has now evolved to become http://www.karenliebreich.com/html/abundance_london.html, and I have recently helped with the Edible High Road project (http://www.chelseafringe.com/edible-high-road-and-treasure-trail/).

I am the Registrant of the http://www.hampsteadhorticulturalsociety.org.uk website, and so have an interest in trying to use the internet to encourage those living in and around Hampstead to co-operate in the cultivation of fruit, vegetables and flowers. I think such co-operation will help us prepare for the future by improving the local environment and reducing our dependence on oil for transport and packaging.
